Conrad de Kwiatkowski

Born in 1965 in New York City, Conrad De Kwiatkowski is a sculptor whose work explores the space between the familiar and the unknown. He transforms found glass and other materials into forms that evoke memory and sensation without direct representation.

A near-death experience during surgery profoundly shaped his vision, inspiring him to investigate how objects can carry emotional and spiritual power. His recent work includes soft, hand-held sculptures in ebony, stone, and glass, created for relatives in hospice—intimate pieces designed to offer comfort, presence, and healing at life’s threshold.
